Stella is as passionate about portraiture as she is about portraying people in the moment. She has completed a series of portraits of some of best-known names in UK broadcast news including the BBC’s John Humphrys and Kate Adie. Through her original drawings and oils she explores themes of separation and connection, blurring the boundaries between illustration and fine art. Performers inspire her, both on the street and in venues and she is Resident Artist at The Half Moon Putney, where her work is on show. Winner of the judges’ prize at Egypt’s first biennale (2013), she has exhibited at the Milan Expo, the RP and NOA exhibitions in 2015. She is represented in Brighton by Kellie Miller Arts. She opens her studio mid September as part of BEAT. She is a member of Putney Artists and tutors drawing at the V&A, NPG, Tate Britain and The Courtauld for Sketchout.
