The Lots Road Group of portrait artists met while studying at The Heatherley School of Fine Art in Lots Road, Chelsea.
Our motto sums up our ethos: Our portraits. Your story. We believe we are unique in combining words and pictures in our annual exhibitions and catalogues to deepen the experience and understanding of our work.
Formed in 2013 we specialise in portraiture, although some of us work in other genres as well, employing a variety of styles and media including oils, acrylics, pastels and printmaking. Many of us have exhibited at prestigious open exhibitions, such as the BP Portrait Award, the Royal Society of Portrait Painters Award, the Lynn Painter-Stainers Prize, the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, NEAC, the Ruth Borchard self-portrait prize, as well as solo and group exhibitions in commercial galleries.
Past exhibitions: Motherhood (2014), Portrayed! 25 years of Inspiring Women (2015)l featuring the founders and chairs of the International Women’s Forum UK, The Art of Reading (2016) and Connected; the changing face of Britain (2018/9).
